Notebook: Michigan learning from adversity at Northwestern

Interesting tidbit on Livers. Sounds like he’s somewhat discouraged. Only getting 12 minutes against North Carolina kinda sucks. I wonder if playing so many positions is contributing to the foul trouble he’s been in the last few games. Hope he pulls out of it with an efficient performance tomorrow.

Livers needs to be more aggressive offensively when he’s on the floor… he can’t rely solely on kick out 3s if he wants to make an impact… otherwise it’s hard to get him minutes over Matthews, Iggy and Teske with the way they are playing

The emergence of Teske playing 30+ minutes has certainly had an affect on Livers’ PT. I didn’t crunch the numbers exactly, but based on browsing the box scores, Teske was averaging maybe around 25 MPG prior to UNC. In that game and against NW, he’s gotten 34 and 32. Will be interesting to see if that was matchup based or if this is a trend that will continue into the Big Ten.
