What do you think our biggest need is for our '14 class? I really think we need a SG.
I think the biggest need is at combo forward – who will replace Robinson?
Getting a scorer in the backcourt important too but you have some flexibility there. If you get a guy like Bluiett (more of a three) you can probably slide Stauskas to the two, etc.
But Booker is still the guy in the class, in my opinion, despite what I said above
Edit: scoring guard. Booker, bluiett, etc.
BOOKER!!!

Based off seeing them both who do you think is better bates-diop or chatman?
@uofm888 Interesting question. I’ve seen more of Bates-Diop so that’s one thing to consider. Chatman is definitely the better passer but Bates-Diop is the taller player. I don’t think either guy is a great shooter but Chatman has struggled with his shot a bit, I’ve seen KBD have some good shooting days.
Chatman gives you more flexibility at the wing positions I think whereas Bates-Diop is probably strictly a four. Both kids are oozing with potential and their best BBall is ahead of them but I might go with Keita by a hair.
Definitely a 4.
Whoever fills that slot is going to have a great chance at starting day 11. Booker/Bluiett have almost no chance at starting day 1.
And sadly KBD is the better player. He really doesn’t have any holes in his game. Chatman’s perimeter shot need a ton of work just to get him back to average.
True “big” …enter Ricky Doyle!
In 2 years we lose Morgan, Horford, and McGary.
Only leaving Bielfeldt and Donnal.
Bigs are often injury and/or foul prone so I think depth is important.
It’s not really need when it’s already been filled.

Agree with umhoops and sven: we need a 4. We’ll be losing ALL of our meaningful minutes at the 4, which you can’t say about any other position…unless of course Donnal gets meaningful PT there, which is definitely very possible. With that said, we should all hope that Donnal prepares and develops to be the starter at the 4 in '14-'15, but hope that we get a decent other option in case he doesn’t. Of course Looney would be ideal, but least likely. Then I think Vince Edwards or Barnett would be the next best options. We know Chatman is versatile, but IMO, not suited for the 4 defensively (and somewhat offensively unless he can improve his outside shot or Beilein changes his base offensive set). I suppose an outside shot at the 4 in '14-'15 could be LeVert if he adds a ton of muscle.
