NCAA 2021: Michigan vs. LSU Open Thread

When they have a 6" height difference, hard to call it contested.

Well, Cam Johnson hasn’t shot 100% this year. Pretty sure if he did, LSU would be slightly higher than an 8 seed.

Wow it really is like if The Audacious One hit his shots

The size matchups are similar to Maryland, and their hot shooting is also similar to most Maryland games. Just need to get thru this half within 10 points and hope that their shooting cools off in the locker room

Their length seems to be causing us issues. Hopefully that doesn’t continue

Switching everything with length is going to make it tough on UM’s PNR game. Noted in the preview this is a really tough game for Mike.

ISO guard shot makers like at Villanova and Virginia?

Real question is how long before this whole season is vacated for LSU

The good news is that the officials don’t seem inclined to call garbage. The bad news is that means that they’ll probably call 25 fouls in the second half.

If that’s our answer, this is going to get significantly more ugly. Need to see some counters.

Think Mike will be able to take them off the bounce and pass to the corners?

Yup gonna be nice when Michigan adds another team to the vacated resume with Louisville

Those passes go to Brandon Johns…

Keep drawing fouls!

Cannot throw the ball away on an easy bucket. Can’t have 90% FT shooters missing

Look, they had better keep making contested shots because those MFers can’t defend

Better hit our FTs and not give up ORBs. Those are things we can control - not whether they make contested 3s.

Maybe let Franz run some ball screens

The counter is hopefully they stop hitting contested 3s at 100%

totally fine with them pressing us
