@umhoops is 1200 posts a record for a game open thread? Havent really paid attention to them until last year

I had to watch on a delay so I avoided the game thread. What happened??

Can we please have a rule that all Michigan opponents must throw at least one pass through their legs / behind their back to nobody?

Early on I said something about weathering the storm. Though I didn’t fully believe it myself :stuck_out_tongue:

Hah good call! People were freaking out about LSU getting hot on iso working for LSU. There was a troll being extra negative that even the people with little faith were calling out. People with little faith still being faithful in staying in the game thread and watching the game. Appreciate all of them(minus the troll)

Having a senior moment can’t remember how to quote my marginally positive post. I’m emotionally spent :joy:

Whew… what a game.

I’ll give Will Wade and his paid mercenaries some credit; a couple of those guys made a crazy amount of difficult shots, but credit to Dylan and our friends at mgoblog, you both accurately cited that those LSU boys take and make more of them then virtually anyone in the country. Problem is it doesn’t make it anymore frustrating to watch happen :joy:

Really impressed with Eli, Chaundee, 2nd half-version of Franz.

Disappointed with Mike Smith with some really costly turnovers, tough matchup for him tho.
Hunter got frustrated, and understandably so, but he’s got to be more composed.

Terrence gave us some good minutes,
BJJ had a mostly positive showing.
Weird seeing a game without Austin Davis scoring 3 or 4 buckets on the block.

Liked the mixing up of defenses, really like that extended 3/4 court 1-2-2 look but I bet that taxes our guys from a stamina standpoint so I get we can’t run it all the time.

Found a way to win, one opponent at a time fellas.

Let’s go Blue!

I felt like there were things we could get going that weren’t going yet early on. I didn’t feel like we were visibly overmatched. I was a little worried at the start of the 2nd half.

Another matchup with Leonard Hamilton’s bunch of men on stilts. I feel better about that matchup then I did this one.

Howard can coach circles around Leonard Hamilton just like Beilien has done the past few years and a win against them to make
Jalen Worley regret his decision…that sounds enjoyable

3li with his first KenPom MVP since the win at Nebraska last year, and only the fifth of his career.

Thomas and Smart each played 40 minutes and scored 57 points between them, but despite the fact that it looked like they couldn’t miss, their O-Ratings were 112 and 117 because they missed so many shots. (Thomas was 7/18 from two!)

I was just thinking about that haha

FSU is super tough but for some reason LSU scared me more. We can win or lose any game from here on in. Let’s go!

Feel better about this one too but I still think it will be a super tough game. Just in a completely different way than this one

I personally don’t see what’s so wrong with the question.

Dude just played the game of his life, and you’re asking him about the failures of other teams, in games he probably didn’t even watch?

I’ve always been more scared of Alabama and FSU than LSU. I thought it was closer than it should have been, but I completely understand why it was. LSU guards are frickin crazy good, and they made all the shot that will get them drafted. College games will almost always be decided by the better team/coached team in the tourney. We saw that with MAU vs Duke last year.

I’ve been on the Eli train since day 1 of his recruitment. I hated all that transfer talk.

Poor Maryland and the fight Turgeons getting run off the floor. Should I feel bad or enjoy it…

Enjoy it. Until they play Michigan. Alabama is scary.
