Charles is a beast. He should definitely get drafted. His offense wasn’t there, but he has so much potential to be a good player if he starts shooting well, which happens a lot.

Look at the value of a guy like PJ Tucker. He’s carved out a role for himself predicated on playing great defense, making hustle plays and shooting the occasional open 3. Charles can be that player, just need to find the right situation (e.g. a team like the Rockets).

Yea, he just graduated to the “I don’t give a crap what your parents or agent thinks.” If you want to play do what we say! Very little leverage for the second round and the un-drafted. Playing with grown-ups in a grown up league!
There’s really nobody to take Iggy’s minutes whatsoever next year.
Beilein leaving is unfortunate from an obvious standpoint, but its residuals (Wilson and no grad transfers) may give Iggy more of an incentive to come back. He would be our only “scorer.”
Chances are still low, but from reading quotes, the likelihood is increasing it seems.

Always a little surprised when grown folks reveal this much antagonism toward anyone on the internet. Doesn’t it reveal a lot more about them than the person they’re openly disparaging? Do they possess so little self-awareness?
Some cringeworthy offerings both here and at mgoblog the last few days. I’m seeing an almost hilarious amount of ripping of Warde. . . as if the Beilein news hadn’t come Monday but weeks ago!

I think we’d all feel better about WM’s efforts if he had gotten the search wheels in motion on May 1 when Beilein dropped the hint that he was looking at NBA jobs. The junket to South Africa is kind of a bad look.

Ripping Warde, an adult, or Beilein, an adult - both millionaires - doesn’t bother me because it come with the territory.
The amount of animosity held for Poole is fucking gross and people should question their behavior.

From today’s scrimmages:
Iggy went 3/9 (1/3 from three), scoring 7 points, 9 rebounds, and an assist in 20 mins.
Charles went 3/8 (also 1/3 from three), also scoring 7 points, plus 5 rebounds, an ast, block, and steal.

Not me…I have high hopes for the young man. The kid has a ton of potential, I’m just not a fan of parents interfering at any level. I assume we’ve all coached at some level, or been coached, I didn’t like the chirping. My remarks were a bit salty and for that I apologize.
I will say this, his ticket to millions is probably catch and shoot and standing in the corner! If he becomes great at that, it will be enough!
