Now I wonder if the CAVS will take any of the Michigan guys. Could we see Mitch McGary get a tryout in Cleveland? Trey Burke is a FA and will Charles end up a two way for the Cav’s?

I thought the new rule is that they can sign with agents but have to stop all contact by a certain point to be able to return.
Yeah, it would be weird considering the combine just started today and he presumably was waiting to see how he does.
I say the over/under for former UM players to make the cavs is 2 for training camp!
Can “sign” with agent to help get workouts, which is the selections are solidified. Zion doesn’t have an agent yet either (and no, I’m not comparing the two).
You can sign with an agent but there are limitations on what an agent can do in order to retain eligibility.
Iggy is working out in Vegas with an agency group. If he isn’t paying his own expenses car, housing, food etc) he is ineligible to return.
Agents can reimburse for travel related to meeting with the agent. NBA teams can cover expenses related to meeting with a team.
Agencies don’t tout guys who aren’t committed to the agency long term.

I know that Talen Horton-Tucker was one of a few players we were looking at late in the process last year when we ended up with Castleton and Nunez…my recollection is that we ended the recruitment on our end. I wonder what we would have looked like with him - he’s a truly odd player (as in his combo of skill set and body). I realize he wouldn’t have solved our chief problem (shooting) but man he’s an elite defender and a super tough kid.
