Michigan's 2021-22 roster is posted

Thanks Tim McCormick! I loved your tweet, your enthusiasm and your expertise as a player who has played at a high level in high school, college at Michigan, and in the pros! :blue_heart:

Brandon Johns may have a career in acting . He looked like he didnā€™t break character lol!

I actually did think he seems like heā€™s talented in that area

I was literally going to sayā€¦just like Eli is the best golfer, Brandon is clearly the best actor :joy:

McCormick was able to expound on what he saw, and it wasnā€™t even an official practice so no 5 on 5 or anything. But he was still able to tweet that Davante was a huge upgrade at PG

Iā€™ve found that McCormickā€™s takes alternate between really accurate predictions I didnā€™t hear anyone else make or theyā€™re just wildly off (ex: Eli could come off the bench.)

If you throw enough darts, one of them is bound to hit the target.

Eli off the bench? He said that about this year? A previous year?

Last year.

The funny part of the McCormick bit is that he actually sees practice all the time. It isnā€™t like heā€™s passing on half-assed second-hand takes on practice.

Like we never read any half-assed takes on this board.

Hereā€™s the thing with me. I really like Tim McCormick, but then, I like guys with effusive enthusiasm and positive energy. I like optimistic guys that get excited aboutā€¦well anything, but especially things I like, like Michigan Basketball.

I also was fortunate enough to see McCormick play in high school at Clarkston, was excited when he committed to Michigan, and I got to see him play at Michigan in Crisler. After three years at Michigan where he played in 90 games, starting 55 of them, he was drafted number 12 overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers. Interestingly, he ended up going to Seattle after being traded TWICE on draft day. He played in the NBA for eight years. He now runs the NBA Top 100 Basketball Camp. He has worked with NBA players for over 20 years and has been an analyst for the Pistons.

I also like guys who are excellent communicators and Tim has a degree in Communications from Michigan. Tim McCormick has credibility with me, and I like that, too. Are all of his ā€œtakesā€ perfect or spot on? No, whose are? I could listen to him talk Michigan Basketball all day. In fact, I just listened to the podcast that was referenced and linked above while on my second walk of the day as I waited for an oil change to be completed on my wifeā€™s Mini Cooper. I Ioved the podcast! I loved the effusive enthusiasm coming from a man who knows more about basketball than I ever knew or ever will know, even though I coached the game for 29 years. It got me even more excited than I already was for the season to begin! Go Blue!:blue_heart:

Edit:. I thought I sent this two hours ago. Sorry, busy watching the Ryder Cup, talked to my brother in Detroit, and my son in LA, and had dinner with my wife, AND I forgot to hit "send "

I donā€™t watch NFL football so my Sundayā€™s are free to muse about Michigan Basketball. Tell me where Iā€™m wrong???

Iā€™m currently not really feeling 8 minutes from Jackson per game but hope he has a role this year. Iā€™m much more confident in Frankie Collins. I think his athleticism, pass first mentality, ability to go to his left or right and finish with either hand, is going to get him on the floor playing a viable role

Diabate is the lynchpin for minutes distribution imo. He is so versatile on defense he will allow the staff a lot of flexibility. Somebody asked who on M could guard a tall wing point forward type perimeter player?? I think the answer could very well be Diabate. He can move his feet and heā€™s very long.

Looking forward to practice starting

The minutes distribution is based on a close game. I do see Tschetter and Barnes getting some run in blowouts or foul trouble situations.
