70% from three? Goodness…
They only took 10. But we are poor three point shooting team, game in and game out. And we turn the ball over at an alarming rate. Poor guard play.
Dilk did not take a step forward this year. Luckily we had the Brown transfer.
I haven’t looked at the numbers but I think our TO have been better this year. But they’ve always been a problem under KBA
It was a rough one. Maryland just has a couple of players in Miller and Owusu that Michigan doesn’t, with their versatility, speed, and agility.
Also, when Maryland started the game with that full-court press, we looked totally rattled.
The team also needs consistent 3-point threats. I felt once we were down 20, there wasn’t much chance of coming back because of the lack of someone that can catch fire from deep.

They have one more home game tomorrow, and I’m hoping they get some payback vs. Northwestern after losing a close one at Crisler last year. Plus, this is a great team and a great group of people and it would be nice to walk off the home court with a W.
Also, it’s more fun to photograph wins.
Narrator: They did!
If the Mich women didn’t foul or turn over the ball so much they would really be good.
Rough rough game. What seed is Michigan looking at? 5 or 6?
Correct me if I’m wrong. The Mich women seem to fall apart the last couple weeks of the season the last few years. Although I think the pause was this years problem. They turn over the ball and foul way too much also.
You just can’t win games in this era being a horrible outside shooting team and Michigan seems to be brutal in that regard. The turnovers hurt too, but being a bad shooting team is so much worse. And you have to assume that Hillman’s presence generates open shots.
They typically do struggle late in the season. Turnovers have always been an issue under KBA as well. Fouling, idk but refs seem a lot more whistle happy in the women’s game.
Harper, Jr. nice one-on-five for zero points while his nicely spaced teammates look on in consternation. Looks like IU is ready to check out on Archie, though.
I know that KBA’s recruiting has been a lot better compared to other coaches in the past but you have to wonder on how she let 5 instate talents away from Michigan. I believe all are top 50 recruits.
Morsha Wiggins from Kzoo Central is heading to North Carolina.
Damiya Hageman from Detroit Edison is heading to MSU.
Breanne Salenbein from Lenawee Christian is heading to Gonzaga.
Kaybriana Hallman from East Kentwood is heading to Xavier
Jillian Brown from East Grand Rapids is heading to Northwestern.
How in the world did KBA whiff on every single one of them especially all are top 50 recruits from the state of Michigan.
Women’s team falls to a 6 seed, after a bad stretch finishing the season. Gets 11 seed FGCU, who shoots a ton of 3s. With our defense, or lack thereof, not salivating this matchup. If we win, we’d get a second round matchup with Tennessee most likely. Baylor would wait in the Sweet 16. UConn the 1 seed in the region
They’re not going far with their tendency to turn the ball over and their inability to make 3 pt shots. Naz has to be incredible in every single game in order for Michigan to win games and that’s not sustainable.
