Michigan to play in Jumpman Invitational

UNC in Charlotte is not great. Road game without road game boost. But should be a fun one.

Wonder if this means we get duke in b1g/acc challenge

yikes, another top-3 SOS. wish we could take it easy this year lol

Duke or Virginia. If we get Duke that’s 3 top 7 teams on our schedule.

Duke played a road game last year and so did we, so does that mean we’re not a likely matchup? UVA played a home game

The Florida/Oklahoma game is on 12/20 and our game is on 12/21. Each day is a doubleheader with the women’s teams.

is that a bracket event? do we play the winner/loser of Florida/Oklahoma?

Yeah just remembered the away game thing, was hoping for duke at crisler

Just one-off games. No bracket.

Nope. Showcase. Next year the same teams rotate matchups.

Is this going to be a Champions Classic copycat? Or is just a three-year thing (rotating through all possible matchups)?

This thing isn’t going to last more than one cycle with the current teams since Oklahoma is joining the SEC

That’s true, they’ll have to boot one of UF or OU. Or just scrap the whole thing.

BTW some serious BS having this in North Carolina unless they are going move it around to places like Detroit, Dallas,Orlando etc so each team gets a home crowd advantage.

It’s the Jumpman Invitational… Of course it’s going to be in Carolina. Michigan signed up for it knowing that.

I thought it was being played in Michael Jordan’s backyard. Or maybe on the Space Jam court.

Strange to sign up for that, jumpman has plenty events outside of north carolina. If anything NYC and chicago are the headquarters for jumpman.

Yeah, this schedule is loading up in a hurry again. At least the MTE should be lighter than this year (thanks, Arizona). ACC challenge game still to throw in there and you know that should be a top tier team, plus maybe Oregon, though have to imagine the ship may have sailed on that one. Throw in the B1G games in December and probably not going to see any other games of consequence I would have to imagine.

We are going to play at Oregon eventually. They aren’t going to let us only get the benefit of the home and home.

The Kentucky game is on 12/5 and UNC is 12/21. Have to think we’ll have the two conference games between these.
