It also is pretty common for pros to sit out the NIT. Romeo Langford, Whitmore, etc.
So youāre saying (I know youāre not) that if Bufkin plays we can write him in stone next year
I was going to add to my post, āIāve learned to never say never, but I sure hope none of our players would do this.ā (Portal on the day of a game.)
Now, if Jett has made a decision that heās leaving and he wants to be sure his ankle is well healed before NBA workouts, thatās a little different. But hitting the portal on the day of a game is NOT good.
ok. I donāt like that
Didnāt Langford play with an injury all year too? Makes sense that heād want to finally take some time to let it heal before the draft.
Edit: To answer my own question, yes, he ended up having surgery after the season
Sounds right.
Yes, he had a torn ligament in his thumb. It stuck out in my brain because I tore a ligament in my thumb in college and had surgery to correct it. That he played almost his entire year with that injury is pretty impressive. I donāt know if his injury was exactly the same, but when I saw the orthepaedic surgeon, he held my hand out in a high give and then pointed my thumb straight down to show me how messed up it was.
Vote was anonymous but not unanimous.
lol this quote killed me. Accurate but dang. Thatās cold.
āI donāt like the way they ended it,ā Gilbert Johnson said. āTo cap it off with them saying no to the NIT? Why give them that decision? Apparently they struggle to make the right decision. Seen that all year. Why leave that in their hands?ā
it be your own people!
