Haha another almost former Wolverine at #2
That blurb sort of misses the entire point
If you look at other JAS types (Duncan Robinson, Sam Merrill, Gary Trent, Luke Kennard), Houstan takes a lower volume of threes, has less diversity to his game (the lowest in the cohort of 2pa’s per 36 and assist rate by far) and plays 50% the minutes of the others for a team that BADLY needed his One Big Trick. He’s a fringe NBA guy, not shocked that if he makes a roster, it will be late in the game. Look at his numbers compared, to say, AJ Green (who has a league minimum contract) - it’s not that close.
IN GOOD NEWS
Vlad scored 3 baskets in the first Summer League game for The Heat
Then Vlad got a DNP last night. I don’t really know how Summer League works, but would rather see Vlad getting gold minutes than Dain Dainja for the Heats team.
looking at it, very few people played both sides of the back-to-back
Maybe since they’ll also be playing in the Vegas SL they’re doing a slow roll-out for players?
Thanks, Bartelstein’s!
That would be great if he can make a comeback and put a few more years in.
Vlad starting for the Heat here in Summer League. Very pumped to see the Heat vs Kobe Bufkin and the Hawks on Friday. Would love to see Kobe stay healthy and play well
kobe’s still playing summer league? man.
Basically missed most of his first two seasons. I’m hoping he plays a few games and dominates enough for them to pull him out.
There is a real role for him available to backup Trae Young if he can stay healthy. Not really another true ball handler on the roster at the moment.
He’s barely played basketball of any kind since he left Michigan
Wow, I had assumed from his post-surgery social media post that he was done.
What channel?
ESPN+ if you want to call that a channel. I have it through my Disney+ Hulu bundle
