I had to look up Castleton since he’s technically in the league and I’m rooting for him. Looks like he’s gotten a handful of minutes in just 4 games for the Lakers - but still hanging around.
I wonder if scientists will one day study Caleb Houstan’s career. I guess before I say something negative I should note that his season stats are 41% from three - which is what he’s supposed to do. Admittedly on only 34 shots, but still progress! But his NBA and NCAA mark is still like 35% and it was even worse in Fiba. I think he’s progressed enough to think he might stick around the NBA a while, but sort of amazing that his reputation as a shooter has carried him farther than his actually shooting ability. On the other end of the spectrum I will never understand how Stauskas never figured it out but Duncan has turned into a really solid NBA rotation player. You never know how things will work out…
I would go as far as to say that season to date, the 2023/2024 Duncan Robinson is…paid appropriately!
Lol the Big 12 lineup would be favored by like 15 points
Forget the rest of the SEC, you could have a Kentucky only lineup that would be incredible too.
AD
Adebayo
SGA
Booker
Fox
KAT, Murray, Randle and Maxey off the bench.
Yeah Kentucky would clearly be the #1 college team and it’s not close. Literally bringing 4 all-stars off the bench
Previewing JP’s return to the bay:
The Magic lost but the Wagner boys combined for 50 points.
And Caleb shot 0-3.
Wow Franz, Mo and Caleb combined for 50
Jordan Poole?
Jamal Crawford
Tim Hardaway Jr
I’ll give you Crawford
Franz Wagner was #9 on John Hollinger’s “Top Ten Prospects” (defined as 23 and under). Players over him:
Wembayana
Halliburton
Edwards
Barnes
Holmgren
Lamelo Ball
Tyrese Maxey
Paolo Banchero
He had a “tier 3” defined from Ball through Wagner and including Sengun below him
Hardaway Jr on the Hawks would fit the definition
Yeah…I do think we need to note a difference between a team’s second option who plays like 36 minutes and a dude who comes off the bench and bombs shots for 27 minutes
I typed crawford’s name then deleted it cause I wasn’t sure quite how high his usage was on a good team. But yeah he’s the closest to that description
Yeah and I think Crawford kind of fits that as well which is why I left him off
As someone that watched that Hawks team a lot and proposed the initial proposition I do not think THJ fits the criteria I was thinking of. That team was not even very good and he was coming off the bench to get shots up. Franz actually has the ball in his hands
I mean the last Michigan guy who was a top two option for a playoff team may be Webber
Ok Hardaway on the 2020 Mavs was the third leading scorer and a starter
