My impression from very limited viewing is that Steph Curry makes everyone around him a lot better. What do experts here think?

Without a doubt

Indeed. I think I’m reaching the conclusion that not only is he an important glue guy for his team, he is also a good basketball player.

I used to think it was just his gravity as the best shooter in history, but his game is quite well rounded. Great player that may still be underappreciated.

Derrick Walton getting a chance with the Pistons.

I think Walton makes a ton of sense in the depleted NBA, he’s been very good in the G League.

Most people think of Steph Curry as only a great shooter. But he is one of the best ball handlers in the NBA and his Basketball IQ is very high. He may go down as one of the best if not the best point guard in history.

I think he may go down, at his peak, as the best offensive player in history.

I see someone laughed at this…in the last Warriors title year, with Klay and Durant on the team, lineups with those two and no Steph had a +1 net rating, lineups with Steph and not Klay or Durant were +11.

Since Steph turned into a shooting supernova, him and literally anyone has been a top 3 NBA offense. Maybe he’s not “the best player” individually, but he is the easiest single way, arguably in history, to get the best offense in the league as a team.

I agree man. He’s already the best shooter in history. Averages as many assists as Lebron. Those GSW teams in their prime give the Bulls a run for their money.

It may not be 100% right now, but definitely not out of the realm of possibility.

The one caveat is that Curry never had to deal with 80’s defenses (aka beat the **** out of the best player).

And 80s defenses never had to deal with a dude pulling from 30 feet. And tbh the Cavs in 15 and 16 and 17 pretty much did exactly that

Agreed, again. It’s just tough to compare players from different decades.

Hawks are signing Chaundee to a hardship waiver tomorrow, per Woj.

Looks like Walton is going to start!

Yeah Walton has played for 4 teams the past three years, I bet he can pick up an offense (and I assume the Cruise and Pistons run the same one).

DJ Wilson is on the floor for the Raptors tonight. Stauskas doesn’t appear to be active.

Looks more like a TBT starting lineup than an NBA one

Looking on the internet, Stauskas was never signed by the Raptors, despite being initially announced. Speculation would be that he likely tested positive for COVID.

Also: looks like Livers is active tonight.

Dealt with it by losing. The Cavs main competitive advantage, which worked once, was the league office.
