Depends. Can you provide a player who is a dawg that doesn’t fit into the dudes or guys category?
need guys who are dawgs both on the court and in the classroom. #ForAcademicCompetitorsOnly
Calvin Booth
Delco Rowley
Matt Roth
How do we feel about these players being considered dawgs?
Obviously the biggest dawg of them all is Captain Hook/Zavier Simpson
I agree that they are dawgs. However, Novak and Chaundee are also guys and I’d say Simpson is also a dude. So Simpson is a dawg dude and Novak and Chaundee are dawg guys. If you add a dawg to the designation it will likely mean they are winners.
When I first glanced at the photos, I thought you included Ant Wright as a joke (before realizing it was Chaundee). Ant was neither a dude nor a guy nor a dawg.
bottom one by far the hardest. rare for a guy to be a dawg without being a dude; extremely rare to be a dawg without even being a guy
(and honestly now that i’ve posted it I think dee brown probably belongs in the X area, but I already made it, so)
Beautiful chart. I love it
Hunter might fit the dude, not dawg category (although he occasionally had games where the dawg came out)
I’m pretty sure Tray Jackson is the opposite of a dawg, at least the definitions I’m used to. Just him being in the same circle as X, Novak, and Matthews seems like a tell that that doesn’t quite fit
Who is Connor Sheehey? Is the joke that he’s not a real guy?
Loved his fifth year
wipes away a tear
No wayyyyy
invented in a fever dream as i was making this. combo of will sheehey and ???
on this one i gotta hand it to you, you were correct to not understand it
i welcome suggestions for that one. i was sort of trying to think of it as a guy who’s like gonna do some crazy things out there and has a ton of confidence but doesn’t even rise to like useful depth player level.
“do some crazy things out there” ruled out adrien nunez. i think it’s genuinely impressive to generate a huge tiktok following though so i was trying to make the argument for him in my head. he’s probably a dawg elsewhere in life despite not being a dude or a guy on a court but that didn’t seem within the spirit of the exercise
Guy, not dude or dawg: Derrick Nix
I’m curious about this too. Seems to me MAAR type players are closer to being a dude than a guy. Dawgs could be more of a 2a versus guys’ being 2b
Trey, dude
MAAR, dawg
Austin Davis, guy
My brain hasn’t worked this hard in a while
