Ignas Brazdeikis declares for NBA Draft

No no you’re exactly right. It wasn’t on display much at all last season, but I really think that will be his junior summer focus. He’s already consistent enough from three, that next stage is getting him to create for himself. And even in the small handful of times he’s done that for himself, I think there’s enough promise there.

I think senior Winston, senior Langford, senior Ward is going to be right up there with senior McQuaid and senior Goins

Deja Vu this board and Matt D February 2017.

And we know how that turned out!

Reegs has a valid point of view. It is not one that I share, but I certainly understand it. The challenge on this forum in some past years was that a few posters took every dissenting opinion as a personal attack. The retaliation turned into a downward spiral that wasn’t too much fun to read. As long as we can all remain civil, I like the diversity of perspectives.

I think we’ll see Henry emerge as a terrific player next year. He didn’t show much volume this past season, but there were times he flashed the look of a guy that will be all-B1G soon.

Winston, obviously, is the key there. With him and Tillman they have the pillars they need to succeed with whatever other pieces they have to plug in.

and you read that as a personal attack? To me, it was a reminder of the days when there were endless discussions of Beilein’s limitations (and who might be a better coach for us).

Sorry about that. I did not read it as a personal attack. I felt the need to comment because you included a reference to Matt D, who is sometimes a bit of a lightning rod on the forum. He was quite knowledgeable and I miss his posts, but he was also one of the posters who helped create the downward spiral I referenced (and maybe just my perception). I am probably just being a little over sensitive about it because I see us all linked by our interest in Michigan basketball and hoped to avoid a repeat of the negativity created by opposing opinions.

It won’t be a problem until we start seeing responses accusing people of having an “agenda” that is “transparent”…ad nauseum.

I love the passion on the board. In retrospect, every top 100 kid thinks he’s going to the league and when that door opens they have to go. When your team wins 30 games in the NCAA, the coach has done his job and given most starters the best opportunity to show case their skills. IGGY fits that mold and JB helped support that goal. As far as stockpiling top 100 kids its tough going against BB only schools where students camp out to get tickets, UM might not be a top 5 destination for hoops, but they are a top 10! What more can you ask for than over 60 wins in two seasons…GO BLUE!

I don’t miss it. He spoke as if his opinion was gospel and talked down to everyone who disagreed with him and disappeared after several of his takes were exposed as terrible.

People complained when Belieien didn’t recruit NBA players and now they complain when he does… Some people complain to complain.

Grass is always greener on the other side.

I think the grass is pretty green in Ann Arbor, but I realize not everyone sees it that way! :slightly_smiling_face:

My only complaint is that these players don’t make a mistake of when to enter the league. JB has had a strong run of not losing players early unless they were 1st round picks. That run might end this year. Hopefully it isn’t a complete mess and these players outperform their current draft status.

I agree. I think Iggy can work himself into first round not sure fire but close because the talent is there. Jordan poole should come back and play himself into the first round next year and I believe that Matthews will make a roster as well. We will be fine. We have talent coming in and may get more talent. I’m not worried. I wish that they all stay but I’m happy that we arr recruiting pro level recruits. People use ( some still) complain about recruiting . We were not suppose to be good this year after losing moe, Duncan and maar… Same when Wilson left… Ect…

I swear… People are sleeping on Cole bajema. I am confident that he will NOT be a four year Player… He’s 6ft7 -6ft8 with crazy guard skills and athleticism. His handles are already better than most players on this team not named David dejuilius or Poole. Him and Wilson will contribute because of their skill and talent. If we gets Franz or Lester… We will be fine. Who would’ve thought that we would go to the national title game without DJ? 30 win season without moe?.. We have the size and talent and I have a feeling that we don’t lose all three. Only Player that I am concerned about is Austin Davis. IN MY opinion… We have so much skill just have to recruit toughness like msu.
