Second half worry is that Michigan goes cold from three and struggles to get good looks from two against the zone. I think getting a few transition buckets early in the half will be key to hold control of the game and prevent a run. Stops into early makes could put this one away IMO.
My primary concern with him (getting to and finishing at the rim) has really not born out so far. In all of his finishes, he gets a half step past the defender and can flick the ball up before getting blocked. Never has to finish through full contact really (which he failed to do a lot on his Columbia tape).
I thought we did a great job of running them out of 3’s for the most part. Led to a few open mid-range shots, but that’s the trade-off you want.
The fact that he’s 4th ?? on the scouting report really helps. He was the entire scouting report at Columbia. Trae Young style nothing else mattered.
He’s done a really job of picking his spots. Not forcing anything really. Most of shots from 2 are either late clock shots or ones where he has clearly beaten his guy and gets an open look at the rim.
I would say in Chaundee’s case that probably warranted a T by the book. I just happen to think the book is pretty silly in this case
Smith so often has an early turnover at the top of a half.
Hunt’s first made jumper of the year
There you go Hunter!
Dickinson saying don’t forget about me
I have wanted to see the “step-in” by the post since before the Beilein era. More of that please
Who mentioned more touches for Hunter ?
After that jumper I have revised my opinion. Hunter is now one and done
Clear hack on the arm upon replay. I was dubious live.
The whole NBA just saw that nice soft 15ft by Hunter
You have to be kidding me, he’s going #2 after Franz now
The dude is a beast
One flaw in this team is just to many turnovers need to cut them down. On a positive note great to see team that has great free throw percentage!!
hunter J’s
Okay Hunter! Let’s go.
