I feel like Teske’s D on Pardon has been fine. The 3 was luck, Pardon hit a few tough ones, and a few came on Davis/Livers.
Dererk Pardon was 11-of-15 from the floor vs. Indiana and is 7-of-8 vs. Michigan in the first half tonight.
He didn’t make more than 5 shots in any of Northwestern’s first 7 games.
Man that Michigan -2 second half line is extremely tempting.
Would like to see Matthews ‘prevent D’ on Pardon for a while - or am I crazy? Teske avoided fouls and forced tough shots, but clearly Pardon is the real deal.
My brain tells me NW has hit some extremely tough shots and it is unlikely to continue. My heart reminds me of the recent games @NW and that these really difficult shots may continue to go in.
That’s the conundrum! (I still threw some money down haha)
Law has 3 fouls. Need to drive on him to get him out of the game.
Poole and Iggy seem to be improving defensively each game.
Switched back a bit late, what was our first basket this half?
Jon Teske is the master of scoring, grabbing the ball, dropping it, and then dragging it across the floor with him.
Teske put back
Teske OREB, outback off a missed Iggy 3
Had games from field where he went 4/4, 5/5, 4/5, 3/5 though. Usually doesn’t get a lot of attempts.
Three games had double digit attempts
Hook and hold review?
Can Simpson hit 1/3 of his threes? That makes him such a more difficult player to defend.
That was pardon
Still infuriated by early shot clock Simpson threes
What was the call on the floor?
Is there a reason that this is a point of emphasis this year? Did someone get hurt?
This is the worst rule in college basketball now
