Speaking of the NBA, I’ll bet Coach Beilein is wishing he’d never left Michigan.
Davis provided some quality minutes against a Big Ten opponent. Nice to see him cut hard and get some easy points. I know he is nowhere near Teske level but I do feel like size can come in handy (in spurts) for in-conference play. Keeping Teske fresh down the final stretch of the season is going to be important. If Davis (and Castleton) can help with that, it will be huge for the team.
Johns Jr. showed what he can be for this team. Loved how active he was on the glass and the back door cuts for the easy dunks. If his 3 ball is falling on top it, he can be a big part of this team. Hope this game does a lot for his confidence.
Side Note: This Kriener guy on Iowa looked like a middle aged man with the comb over and all.
Last night the light seemed to go on for Johns, that is my biggest take away from the game.
Juwan has coaxed positive performances from 11-12 guys–if you had told me that was going to be the case before the season opener I’d have been giddy with pleasure. I’m just waiting for Faulds to explode.
It’s lame when its almost every game and certainly every game we lose.
Scroll through the Iowa game thread to see how they saw the officiating.
I agree here though. I want to try to overlook the refs, but when they essentially take Teske out of the game and then have a chance to do the same for Garza and change it to a horrendous call on Davis just cannot be ignored.
To have both calls by the same official who I view as incompetent merits calling that out.
College refs suck.
