Game 8: Michigan at Louisville Open Thread

offensive sets are terrible

Holy shit this is South Carolina all over again.

They are gonna have to outmuscle Louisville in the paint. Don’t know if they have enough out there for that

Livers looked comfortable on the last shot - finally - but was wide left. Yikes.

X (and now Dejulius) just aren’t attacking the screener, hitting the short roll or the corners. Letting themselves get completely controlled by the hedge.

Yup they are completely abandoning the offense

Shooters have fallen back to earth

They’ve fallen though the earth.

First FG by not Teske

I know this has been discussed but is there a worse color guy than Vitale? Everything he says is either wrong or completely anodyne

Our guys just can’t get in the paint to have some kick out threes

DDJ really plays schoolyard ball out there. But, at least he tries to impose his will on others. The starters seem to have accepted not moving the ball much. It’s all ISO stuff - contested and double team most of time.

He’s the antithesis of age brings wisdom

Honestly about what I expected thus far. The Ville getting up in the grills of our guys and they are struggling to handle it.

No matter the result this game will be good for them in the long run as it will give them a lot to work on going forward.

This is less pleasant than the TTU game was.

Only silver lining is that Louisville shooting has been somewhat tepid, too. Wish we could say it was only our lack of poise but their D has been impressive.

We’re shooting 15%…am I nuts for thinking that will revert to the mean. Like in this game?

We’ve put up a lot of shots that you knew had no chance right off the shooter’s hands. Ugly. How about some ball movement?
