Yup. Despite everything, the game was in reach for almost the whole 2nd half. A few more makes on open looks and we easily could have won.
Welp, that ate a bag of dicks.
two makes that were gifts after blocks by livers
DeJulius and Brooks 0-9 after such a nice time in the Bahamas.
Still a believer in this team and Howard. Learn from this and move on.
I needed this laugh!
Turns out Louisville already played a road game. They opened at Miami and beat them by 13. They donāt have another road game until nearly January (Dec. 28 at Kentucky).
āSo strange to see Michigan State with two early losses.ā Is it really?
Literally no played remotely well offensively. Livers was 1-9, Z with more turnovers than assists, Teske and Wagner each shot 33%.
I heard that and I was likeāwhat?
Ouch, tough watch tonight. I wasnāt expecting a win on the road given the opponent and short rest/travel, but wow that was tough shooting. Some credit to Louisvilleās D, but Michigan wasnāt Michigan tonight. Move on to the next oneā¦
Itās funny, I just canāt be too down. Solid D. Some players got overwhelmed. Shooting sucked. (Legs perhaps?) Dunno. Effort was okay; execution was bad bur Louisville D was pretty stellar. Next game; turn the page.
Blockquote < Packline is just a nightmare defense to play against
Appears juwan struggles against it too, really no idea why every team doesnāt run it after watching uva and wiscys success over the last 20 years.
Heh, theyāre almost always guaranteed a loss in the Champions Classicā¦
Louisville showed the blue print on containing Simpson in the first half.
Concerned about the other guards hesitating when the open shots were available. Especially Brooks reverting to last seasonās version of himself.
Brandon Johns one moment gets a good defensive rebound then fumbles an offensive pass. Seems like the game still hasnāt slowed down for him.
Iād like to see both Duke and MSU lose tonight
This will be the one an only night I ever root for duke
a heart for encomiums
Yea, johns lack of development has been shocking for me. I thought he was going to make a huge jump and cause lots of match up problems with his face up ability and athleticism. He was a nice passer and
had a little handle of I recall too. He looks absolutely frightened out there. Reminds me of the way eli looked early last year where he just lost all confidence and forgot who he really was abd how good he can be.
This is the key imo. On the road against the number one squad and we looked completely flat and out of it. No one could hit a shot, lots of bobbled balls and mishandling of passes/ dribbling out of control and right to them ect. This team couldnāt have looked worse or played more poorly yet I l looked up and we were down 6-8 for large portions of the game.
That says a lot about this teams potential imo. They should have lost by 20-25 with such an effort to the number one squad on the road but if they just got hot for a minute or two it could have been tied.
