I mean it is the one thing that they do. I think the stat in the preview was they’ve turned everyone over on 20% of possessions or more this year which includes Kansas, Wichita… Some decent teams.
You’d feel better saying that in a game with a 23% turnover rate though not 33% but you also can’t take much from great shooting numbers because again it is just a product of how they play. Like taking a lot of threes against a zone.

I think in the big picture what’s such a shock about this is that Howard’s first two teams played so connected, so enthusiastic, so locked in, early on. Not to say there haven’t been bumpy games, but this team does not look like they’re in a good place mentally right now. They look confused, disjointed, and just bummed out.

Jones is rough. For now I feel like you gotta roll with a combo of Frankie , Kobe, Eli. Get the young guys acclimated now and ready. If jones plays his way back in later fine but the young’s guys would be better imo.
Came late so I’m guessing Zeb is still down? I think he has a real chance to contribute. I think between the three young guys we can come away with 2 guys who would be factors with experience layer . Hell maybe all three and they could give them a higher ceiling possibly if they find it .

Teams don’t believe our guys will blow past them so they can apply tons of pressure and take us out of our offense by pushing us back. A guy like Frankie can fix that.

Pretty sure Tarleton will try to do the exact same thing next week against Gonzaga. It’s not a product of scouting Michigan but of how they play.
Michigan’s inability to handle it despite knowing it was coming is the larger issue.

I forgot when the game was and had a FaceTime workout scheduled in the other room. So I could only dip in for a second here and there. From what little I saw, Devante looked like a one car pileup.

If there’s one thing nba coaches hate doing it’s playing young guys that make mistakes even if they are a net positive. There’s a reason why nba front offices often have to trade away vets to force coaches to play young guys. We may be seeing this play out with juwan.

Ready to see Zeb. It’s unfortunate because a big game coming up and none of them have been give minutes , you are almost stuck going Jones heavy again as opposed to tossing a young guy out there for big minutes.
You could do it but it would be a bigger gamble. I think they find a combo out of the three young guys by years end but we have some more bumps in the road still to get there.
Wish unc was in another game or two and we could possibly see Frankie, Kobe, and Zeb get burn to find a rotation that works in time for that game,

On top of this, it’s not even a floor/ceiling debate right now. We saw Devante’s floor tonight. It’s not great. Frankie has never looked that lost, ever.
