Only because of horrible officiating! 
Love Mike talking the time to calmly ask the ref about the rationale for that call. Hopefully that kind of response get’s paid back in the second half.

Did their center even see the hoop on that layup? They seemed to kick into three buckets there (the forced three at the buzzer, the dunk they got off Smith’s near steal, the preposterous layup)

Too many offensive boards allowed in the first half. We’ll need to clean that up. Not sure if Penn State will only shoot 28% next half.
Livers and Franz 2-5 for 6 points and only 0-1 from three. 9 point lead feels great.

Yeah that was terrible should have been a three point play for Smith and have double digit lead at half that was not a charge. Tough close to half should be up 12-15 only 9 point lead is a bummer.
We’re shooting 52% to their 30%. On the other hand, they have 8 more shots than we do. I have no idea how Wheeler only averages 2 steals a game.
Need to adjust probably did not have Tsimbila on the scouting report? HD looked surprised by him.
Another ludicrous charge call. Watch it back in slo mo and it just gets that much worse. The charge Franz drew was also a bad call. The charge call is out of hand again. Weird epidemic. Who thought what we need is more charging calls?

I know I am prone to hyperbole but that charge call against Mike Smith was literally one of the worst calls I have ever seen in a basketball game in my entire life

Many many good shots in that number. 6-7 were great looks.
I’ve said for over a year now. Get it out of the game. It’s run its course.
In fairness if the players feet were actually on the ground it would’ve been a good call 
Just treat them like a jump ball. Alternating possessions.
