Game 24: Michigan at Northwestern Open Thread

As predicted, Davis and Brooks sparking the team with their scoring, and the offense comes alive when Z hits the bench.

Well of course!

This entire run has happened without Teske/X. AKA all by guys who will be back next year.

This is my way of speaking Davis returning for his 5th year into existence.

Offense just does better with Davis lately. Seems to be overtaking teske in reliability on finishes.

I want to see this team when Franz is shooting confidently.

Teske seems like he doesn’t believe in his capabilities. It’s like he still sees himself as a project. He wasn’t like that against Gonzaga amd UNC.

Teske is still better at everything else, but Davis does seem to have passed him as a finisher.

Indeed it was

Can anyone think of a Michigan player that had a more disappointing senior year than Jon Teske has had so far? Probably have to go back to pre-Beilein era.

Beilein leaving has been good for Davis.

It’s gonna suck when Eli gets benched next year /s

Teske is a Beilein big.

Do you think the d and rebounding drops that much ? I Haven’t noticed that lately. Still praying jon finds himself.

Now the subs make more sense if BBJ not feeling great.

It seems like that grueling big 10 start against other bigs has destroyed Teske’s confidence. He just doesn’t seem to attack or be as active on the defensive end. Meanwhile Davis is doing both those things despite athletic limitations.

It is so odd bc against Gonzaga was maybe the best game he’s ever played. He definitely seems lost right now. With how great a career he’s had it would be such a shame if he can’t turn it around for the stretch run

I don’t mind this Fitzgerald jump in on the call. I imagine if Harbaugh volunteered to do the same they’d give him the entire night.
