Game 24: Michigan at Northwestern Open Thread

I put Tarpley in his own class.

Would have loved to see Juwan use his use it or lose it timeout to set up a play after that last rebound.

How did they score out if the last timeout. Who hit the three? My app delayed and came back and it was 33-20. What was the look?

How about Phil Hubbard or Eric Riley.

I’m pretty sure Eric Riley led the Big 10 in rebounding the year before the Fab 5 came to Michigan.

Livers 3 free throws I believe

Would love to see the guys take it to another level in this second half

He really is. I’m not sure the stats do it justice either – we seem to consistently get better shots than whoever we’re playing.

Teske will leave w a decorated resume. 2 BTTs, natty final, 2 sweet 16s, member of two 30 win teams, Battle For Atlantis MVP, but it feels like he has underwhelmed this year. Hopefully that will change. In all truthfulness, a good program role player, never fully blossomed into becoming the man. Juwan Howard was the man his junior season, especially in the NCAAs coming up short to Arkansas.

After that Nunez was at the line I believe…

If he finds his confidence and gets back to even 85 percent of what we saw in Atlantis this teams ceiling sky rockets to contender.

Even in regression, he’s serviceable. Frustrating sometimes in passiveness, but he, now w Davis, I’ll take over most.

It’s why Coach Howard is paid to coach the team, he knows more than you can comprehend. Just enjoy the game as entertainment and don’t bother overthinking it.

Interesting point. In the recent past some of the other options have been poor or even more inconsistent, i.e. Doyle and Donnal. Jordan Morgan used to miss a lot of layups as well, until he improved his last year.

MVP of this game so far is Davis. His footwork on the block is a lot better than Teske

I’d like to see X come out hungry and try to push this lead a bit more. He should be able to carve up this defense.

Up 15 on the road in a game Kenpom predicted we’d win by 5. You’re really raging about someone who said in their first comment that Nunez isn’t a rotation piece being too positive? Man…

Simpson hardly plays, contributes nothing and we’re dominating the game. Bench 6/7 from field.

We are finally seeing the Davis that people raved about in practice. He is so great down low. If only he had Teske’s size.
