Game 15: Purdue at Michigan Open Thread

Williams looks gased. Scoring at will wull do that.

Nice play by Simpson

was wondering same thing, did fine against UNC and Gonzaga and Oregon

I’ll go next…Xavier isn’t in foul trouble.

Sag off everyone but Sasha and maybe Hunter.

We have the lead

Strategy is to wear him out.

That was a nice play design. Coach Howard showing his chops.

First half rotation:

9 minutes for Dave isn’t enough. Nunez can’t be allowed to see the floor, and some of those Castleton minutes might have to go to Dave too.

Michigan didn’t go to Simpson, Brooks, DeJulius, Wagner, Teske lineup at all in the first half.

Creates depth issues in the backcourt, but I think that lineup could be effective and compensate for some of U-M’s spacing issues without Isaiah Livers.

Nunez simply isn’t playable at this point. Livers can’t well soon enough.

Williams looked very impressive in last year’s Tournament. I’m surprised he hasn’t played like this more often this season.

How did Nunez start last year?

From the preview, Purdue has held 11 of their last 15 opponents under a point per possession. Michigan gets to 0.92 without their leading scorer and people are throwing out hot takes of how bad they look?

No it wasn’t pretty but they’re making due. Not great at all but certainly not hot take bad.

He started a few games in the non conference when Franz was hurt so Juwan could keep everyone else in their projected spots.
