Game 14: Michigan at Purdue Open Thread

Even if they were his gather steps? He took his shot after the second step, looked like a textbook Euro to me. But you also know much better

I missed the play, but I think it was on a layup attempt which is fine right?

Two steps after a catch isnā€™t a travel

Iā€™m pretty impressed with how hard Purdue competes for every rebound. Probably the most physical game weā€™ve had to play this year.

Thatā€™sā€¦ not really how it works when the steps are gathering for a layup. Catch, right leg, left leg, shoot is something you see constantly at all levels with no call. If it was then basically all euro steps should be illegal and half of the fast break layups without a dribble should be travels.

Weird to see the lid on Purdueā€™s rim. That shootout in 2018 is always in the back of my mind when they play in Mackey.

If thatā€™s the case I feel better about playing. Still not ideal IMO, and would probably be on the side of not playing, but if the staff knew and the medical experts cleared it with a few days notice thatā€™s something.

yeah, no ā€œgather stepā€ in college hoops. Iā€™d have to watch the replay but live it looked okay. Depends on his footwork on the catch

I agree. Iā€™m wondering if our (in Juwanā€™s mind at least) deep bench and them being down a starter will end up mattering (if we donā€™t blow the doors open).

No sloppy turnovers so far! Balls moving not sticking. Purdue has missed a few bunnies but the D has been tough.

Purdue finally realized the way to attack Davis is not a post up but the P&R

Why is Davis still on the game.

bad timing there, lol.

Someoneā€™s gotta score

Man, I love watching Brown play defense.

Hunter back in. Anyone have shift time for Davis?

Ok, well staggering the rotation a bit is good.

Thatā€™s 2 on Hunter

Uhā€¦ this is bad.
