Game 12: Michigan at UCF Open Thread

Had a 7 or 8 pt lead then crappy shooting to be up 2 or 3 at the half? Ouch.

Don’t think we were ever up more than 6

Thank god.

Here’s why Houstan could use another year in college. He’s the same size as Duncan, who isn’t athletic either. But Duncan worked hard to get his release faster and be decent on defense.

They told me he doesn’t defend. Our starting backcourt let Green get 16 in a half.

So we basically need to reduce one our 4s rotation wise and never play three at same time. play more three guard combos. Caleb too soft to play the four at times. T will > BJ today but will it be consistent?

Need one of Eli and Devante on the court at all times in the 2nd

We were up 33-26 at one point.

I think it’s a very good thing that we’re up 4 at half and it doesn’t feel like we played particularly well. UCF is good.

Like Bufkin at the 3. Not afraid to stick his nose in there.

Eli sort of having a Simpson like final year, defense falling off as offensive role increases

I think the basket that UCF scored immediately after his shot was because of his defensive breakdown, though.

Michigan played big for the first half of the first half but went small for the second half of the first half including a lineup with Kobe Bufkin at the three and Caleb Houstan at the four.

Something to watch in the second half.

Would like to see in 5KP maybe. Feels like there’s been breakdowns all over the place tonight but I’m obviously very biased toward Kobe

Hopefully we don’t see Williams at the three lineups anymore?

I’m fine if that means Williams consumes Johns’ minutes at the 4.
