Just not a great team. Houstan is non existent and Diabate is exciting but certainly can’t replace livers or franz. So far it just looks like a down year to me. Kind of like a Kentucky team where the 5 star freshman are just “ok” instead of like John Wall and Anthony Davis
Does this team make the NIT?
12-point lead in the 2nd half. Now on the verge of being blown out. That’s the sign of a team with no answers. No one to stop the bleeding.
Silver lining is DJ is playing well.
The problem is the 3-4 rotation. Something has to change.
Michigan is allowed to have a down year. Just going to accept it and hope Juwan figures out how to construct next years roster.
I’m not giving up on this year, just trying to rationalize to deal with this suckage
Worst case scenario is a down year but Houstan and Diabate leave anyway. If a bad year results in then returning them it’s not too bad since next year was looking like a down year if they had left
Every time he puts the ball on the deck it’s guaranteed that something terrible is about to happen.
Oh, there have been far more contentious times.
Uh…not sure those two are immune either. Hunter with a dumb poke-check foul and Eli hasn’t been good on defense. I can’t believe I am saying this, but Jones has been our best player.
I just don’t know what Johns or Williams are giving you.
That’s been the problem for most of the season - these 10 minute stretches where a couple of bad plays snowball into catastrophe. Seems like a collective lack of poise and concentration.
People keep saying this looks like a Kentucky team on a down year but I’m not seeing that. Those teams are typically quite raw but hyper athletic and need to gel. Whats going on with this michigan team is something else.
Just when we get devante fixed, Caleb goes missing
And he is going off for a career high. Not luck, but just what several of us get frustrated with - it happens too often against us. And it’s two of them tonite.
And that is coaching. I figured with all the downtime they’d figure out how to overcome the mental issues
Sure but why does it happen to this team?
I think that’s why it was really really really crucial not to have even a single possession during that run where we had a lineup designed to have no answers out on the court. Instead, we had multiple ones.
I agree. Not the same but there is a little like for like. Replacing your two best players with 5 star freshman sometimes goes well and sometimes goes south. I guess that was my point
He’s wearing #2
How many shots do Mahan and Green need to make before we step out on them, I wonder?
We just left Mahan open
And then turned it over
This team is brutal
