Smart move to put Brandon Johns Jr. at the five against this Oregon lineup. Johns and DeJulius giving U-M a bit of a spark. Lead down to 9 and Michigan has the ball.
Key final three minutes coming up.

Along with Johns
That is comical. Nunez can barely stay on the floor due to his liabilities. Wagner is proper position all the time and can actually stay in front of his guys. He has fantastic instincts. I donāt know what youāre watching.
On the offensive end, believe it or not, Nunez has better offensive efficiency. Defensively, I am not impressed by either.
I love Johnsā energy on the glass
Austin Davis needs to be the backup center Castleton gets dominated in the post he donāt have the strength to compete need to let Davis play after good game verse Iowa has yet to play in two games since makes zero since!!
Neither is on the floor right now. That should be a clue.
In a game like this Brandon Johns needs to be the backup center.
I think what we are watching is the ball not go through the hoop enough, which is driving many of us crazy.
I thought Johns could have used more minutes last game. Heās been really giving us a presence on the boards.
DDJ and Johns have played well. Nunez and Castleton havenāt done a thing. And Iām not saying donāt play the backups. But most teams canāt go 10 deep in college. Iām comfortable going 8 deep. But Nunez hasnāt shown anything for me to believe he should be out there. Donāt need to have four of the backups in at the same time.
Showing some spark. Really have to go into the locker room looking like weāre in it. Did it look like Livers dribbled away from a great open shot there? Iām a little concerned about him the last three games.
I second this. For this game at least.
Those Johns-at-the-five minutes from last year paying off!
He has better efficiency based on a small sample size. For every shot heās made, I would bet heās giving up 2-3 on the other end. Whereas Wagner can cause turnovers and generally play competent defense.
Last couple minutes are so huge down 9 here⦠can either go back to 15+ or stay in striking distance
Getting some breaks - gotta capitalize
Yeah that is fine in this game but Castleton got a few minutes would have rather seen Davis. Last game made zero since not to give Davis a chance verse the big guy for Illinois!!
Man. Miss a great look from 3, miss a dunk, turn it over. Brutal.
Meh, I donāt think Wagnerās defense is anything better than replacement level. Heās clearly having trouble with the athleticism at this level.
