Wagner over Nunez isn’t looking like much of an upgrade anymore.
It’s unreal that we can’t hit wide open looks.

On what basis? I don’t really think their ceilings are remotely comparable.

It’s a 5000000% upgrade on the defensive end.
He’s a far far better defender than Nunez. And Wagner is capable of attacking a Closeout. Nunez is a shooter and that is literally it.
Has Nunez taken a dribble inside the arc this year?

Our offense has generated better looks, we just can’t hit shit and they’ve made some tough looks. We left them open for threes twice and they hit them both.
We continue to live with the basic contradiction that while X is an amazing floor general he isn’t a threat from outside–and too often, from inside, either.

This defense on Mathis is just not acceptable. And the lineup is questionable in my view…
And that’s why Nunez doesn’t dribble.
The starters need to be back in now
We seem really bothered by their length and are pressing. The guys need to relax and play their game.
At least we’re getting some home calls. Maybe foul trouble for them can get us out of our funk.

I think we just need to make shots. We have had the looks. Even with the backups in, Johns had an easy layup. Just missed it.
