He’s doing a terrible job so far this season. Never seems to be able to land on a lineup he can ride. Honestly, taking out Moussa and putting in BJJ in the first half is where it all started to go wrong. Just not a team that knows how to win, knows how to win possessions, knows how to have a coherent plan for how to win a game. I’m not going to say Juwan’s a bad coach off of just this though, but guys are playing mindlessly. T Will, great stuff. You get beat for A LAYUP by Loewy, throw up a ridiculous 3, now you get roasted for a layup and add an and 1 - that is one of the worst 3 possession stretches out of an individual player imaginable.
To be clear, no judgment on Juwan, it’s just not coming together and too many guys are mentally not where they need to be, so the cumulative effect is staggering. Let’s just say he’s struggling to coach this particular team.
I worried this would be a tougher than expected game, I did not expect to get completely depantsed at home by Minnesota. I’m not sure Michigan’s problems are fixable. New season goal is simply making the tourney.
Michigan is doing some interesting switching on the back end away front the ball. Seems to be working better to avoid Hunter guarding on the perimeter.
Second worst coaching job this year behind Penny (major schools only of course). Gonna need to majorly reshape this roster with the transfer portal to make the tourney next year (no up-transfers).
