I am thinking pretty much the same, he is waiting to see if he qualifies. If so he is coming to AA.
Weāre all just reading the hops, but I agree that itās probably Michigan.
Hope Iām not being an ignoramus, but qualify for what? With the entrance exams? Would be pretty shocked if he didnāt have that covered.
He has taken the test (SAT, ACT and/or TOEFL, I donāt know which one(s)) and submitted his papers (admission and financial aid) to UM. It may be very likely that he can/will satisfy all requirements, but until he formally does, it makes no sense for him to announce heās coming.
I canāt speak to Michiganās admissions but I canāt imagine its much different than the other admissions departments that Iām familiar with.
Once all the paperwork has been submitted it doesnāt take days or weeks for a decision, its a matter of minutes or hours. The only reason you wouldnāt know that quickly is if a kid was denied and there was some sort of appeals process that required a higher up or a committee to review the applicant.
It takes time to get the test results.
Was your experience during the summer, when the admissions department traditionally has nothing to do and is on vacation? Or with the admission of foreign students where English is not the first language? Leaving aside the question whether he has even gotten his test score back yet and submitted that on, suggesting that the only explanation for a delay would be that he was denied admission and is appealing seems an extreme stretch.
Yes, Iāve experienced it at every time of the year. Its actually easier to get a decision back during the Spring/Summer because admissions has fewer applications to process.
But, I didnāt say the only explanation was that he was denied. Plenty of things are possible.
He may have been denied.
He may have been accepted but has decided not to come.
He may have been accepted but hasnāt made a decision (I donāt think this is likely).
He may not have submitted all his paperwork.
My point was simply that if/when everything is submitted to admissions Franz wonāt be waiting long for a decision.
I just googled and it takes about 3 weeks to get SAT results. Iām sure there are people helping him navigate the admissions process much like with Moe.
If he took SAT when he was in AA to visit that 3 wks has passed.
Juwan was on the radio this afternoon with the Sklar brothers who were filling in for Jim Rome. Juwan couldnāt mention his name but he indicated that he suggested Franz play for his country in an upcoming tournament. I am sure someone can find it and post it on this site. The Sklar brothers mentioned Franz name several times in the interview.

about to come to AA
we can only hope!
Safe bet
ā¦ and when will we be able to confirm that?
May be I will be able to confirm that!
Another false alarm
Are you Franz? Welcome aboard if so!
PAX has only posted in the Franz Wagner thread.
