Four-star wing Lester Quinones names Michigan in top seven

I was under the impression that Quinones is set to decide after the NBA deadline - that would imply that this is more of an insurance policy in case Poole decides to go pro rather than a harbinger, yes?

We don’t have a spot for Quinones unless Iggy or Poole go pro. We technically don’t even have a spot for one of our 2019 recruits because Charles isn’t officially declared for the NBA yet. So Iggy or Poole would have to leave or someone else transfers.

Which is very likely to happen.

At this point I would be really surprised if Iggy comes back to school.

I would guess that we lose three guys from our roster after this year through one form or another… it has just gotta be difficult for the staff to forecast the actual number and plan accordingly

However you want to think about it to help rest easy at night  There are real NBA decisions that will be made after the season and I think Michigan will probably have at least one scholarship to work with.

Spring recruiting is a whirlwind especially with transfers, etc. I would expect U-M to end up being active in that market.
