Has anyone seen a Jordan Morgan update? From what I can tell he’s not rostered at the moment, but he was still pretty good in his season in Russia last year (played in a continental champion league, etc, averaged 12/8).
He doesn’t seem to be on Twitter any more, so I haven’t a clue.
Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman, Legia Warszawa (Poland)
Through six games, Legia is 4-2 and Abdur-Rahkman is the leading scorer at 18.7 points per game.
Zak Irvin, Bank of Taiwan (Taiwan)
Irvin is listed as the only non-Taiwanese player on the roster. Last season, Irvin led his team in scoring (18.7 points per game), rebounding (9.1), and assists (5.7).
Kameron Chatman, Ovarense Gavex (Portugal)
Chatman is two games into his season in Portugal. He’s leading his team with 17.5 points per game.
Manny Harris, who played in China last year, reportedly signed with one of his many former teams, AEK in Greece, in July, but reportedly left earlier this month.
Jordan Morgan is currently in the United States rehabbing an injury.
Awesome! Nice to see that those guys are still playing. Even Manny still out there. I wonder what other names are floating around in the endless sea of professional leagues around the world.
Thanks for posting!
Ability to score is essential for playing overseas. I can see Iggy completely dominates in some of those leagues.
Stu is still playing in Israel too.
Morgan had been by far the best European player we’ve turned out.
He retired this off-season actually
Really…missed that. Wonder what’s next.
He has been doing a podcast
Chaundee stuffing the stat sheet in his first G League game:
Jaden Hardy 6 pts, -24
The g league ignite roster this year is pretty weird. 6 teens, three didn’t play, Hardy is pretty old for it…hard to see where it’s going.
138?!!! How much time is left in that game?
If you’re counting at home, it appears as if DJ Wilson has surfaced on the OKC Blue alongside X.
They did the same thing last year. Jarrett Jack and Bobby Brown played a lot of minutes instead of Daishen Nix (who played some but was out of shape). It was basically Jalen Green and Kuminga (when he was available) getting big time minutes then Todd got more minutes as it progressed. Princepal Singh and Kai Sotto got very few minutes.
The idea of the whole thing is to bring in a bunch of studs and surround them with what the NBA deems as “pros.” Teach the younger guys what they need to do, how to handle everything, and giving them another coach on and off the floor they can go to as teammates rather than coaches.
I know it’s a mix of vets and teens - it just seems like having 4/5 of the rotation on a developmental team be over 30 is weird.
It’s early yet but last year they played 4 of their 5 young guys 25+ minutes, and their top 3 minutes guys were teens.
My favorite M player his 4yrs. Congrats. Keep working hard. It will pay off in the end!
