As an aside, I’m now absolutely fine with Detroit not having the absolute worst record in the league this season. Jaden Ivey is an insane freak of a guard, and I’d love to take him in that 4-6 range. Haven’t seen someone as explosive and powerful on the perimeter in the Big Ten since… well, I’ve never seen a guard like that in college since Ja Morant. Maybe we made him look particularly menacing leaving the lanes upon for him to just gallop through but I can’t imagine any other defense in the B1G keeping pace with him. He was a homerun threat every time he had the ball.

Yeah, Ivey does that against every B1G team. He’s a one man fast break and a halfcourt menace. Some B1G defences have better help than others at the rim, but nobody can keep Jaden in front of them. You have to wonder some about the jumper in terms of quickness of release, but I’m sure he’ll figure that out when he’s working on it every day.
