Five-star guard Josh Christopher commits to Arizona State

Gonna be canceled anyway.

London will be, but I was assuming that they’d find somewhere to still play it stateside. Maybe a wrong assumption. Probably just rather cancel it now. Kentucky will be stacked next year.

Maybe just cancel the whole series.

I agree with this, so here is hoping for ‘next man up x 3’. Team chemistry may be better with the one and done guys as well.

I get what you mean here, but it’s just not true of Ja Morant nor of Murray State. Murray State is extremely popular in their region, get lots of attention in the OVC annually, and lots of non-traditional Murray State fans watched games just to see Ja. The Racers are the highest true mid-major team in ESPN’s rankings.[8]

Wow. He was going to change the direction of the school. He’s a good player but at least I don’t have to buy a new map.

It sounds like his Dad attended the LaVar Ball School of Brand Development. If his approach is what turned some schools off to his son, then I don’t blame them.

Guess he’s okay with playing a lot of games on a channel (Pac-12 Network) that few people even get. Not gonna get much brand exposure there nor with games being played on ESPN2 at 11:00 PM EST.

Definitely an odd choice given the stated criteria. But if you think your brand transcends your school choice, then the allure of ASU coeds and paling around with your brother for 6 months is more understandable I guess?

The hubris from some of these kids and parents is really something.

Remember how James Harden changed the direction of ASU’s program. They’ve been a powerhouse ever since…

After reading Brendan Quinn’s comments about the Christopher main interest in branding himself, I am happy he isn’t coming to Michigan!

ASU’s players will soon know how the news felt when Huey Lewis walked into the room.

Somehow I would have found a way to cope. Though one-and-dones certainly are a chemistry challenge and it’s easy to see Juwan possibly flubbing that in his first go-round integrating this kind of player. Part of his learning curve. Won’t happen next year, but it could with the next one-and-done.

This prima donna cracks me up.
Claims he wants brand exposure but picks ASU. He’s wants to be big man on campus and bigger than a school per his papa. Ha. Good choice not coming here then cause that wasn’t gonna happen. Maybe he is bit scared of big time. He is not a leader. He let his big brother pick his school for him. Glad he’s not coming. We don’t need arrogant attitudes.
