United finishing 2nd is too rich for me. I feel like they will do the same thing where there are awesome for 6-8 weeks and then shambolic for 2-3 weeks.
Liverpool are old but like you say this might be the last chance for Klopp, I feel like they have one more run in them after a bit of a reset last year.
Team I’m most excited to follow this year might be Newcastle to see if they can take another step forward.

I think Onana pushes them up to 2nd. De Gea was a hot mess last season and if they are sorted in the back, think they have enough goals in them to keep them barely above Arsenal.
Agree on Newcastle, Barnes and Tonali were great signings.

I can buy that, I do think that the top is going to have more contenders this year. There were multiple big clubs that had bad years last year.
If you consider the chances that Chelsea (under Poch) and Liverpool bounceback… plus City/Arsenal/United, plus Newcastle continuing their trajectory, it could be a fun year.

And what is actually going on when Moises Caicedo is about to break the British transfer record. I mean, he’s a good player, but not $110 million pounds is nuts.
Turned down Liverpool today and heading back to Chelsea who now have signed Adams as well who will now sit on the bench mostly in the tradition of American players going to Chelsea and regressing. Good times.
Also, what a weird kit season. Lots of mundane ones that seem like afterthoughts. Newcastle 3rd and Crystal Palace away pretty decent. Ranking City 1st with that horror show of a 3rd kit is brave.

5th is more than twice as good

Maybe now Liverpool will bid on Paqueta now so we don’t way overpay for him. $88 million is crazy for a guy who has hardly shown anything for West Ham and they want more for him. Hopefully Txiki tells them to kick rocks. They paid $50 mill for him last summer and THAT feels like an overpay so not sure what is going on there. This transfer season is mental so far.
Yeah, Paqueta is a weird one that doesn’t add up as an extra midfielder. Doku is the other name I’ve seen floating around as a winger.
Feel like City’s evals have earned the benefit of the doubt for the most part though.
SIgning Paqueta seems to imply that Bernardo might leave, or that Foden isn’t going to get a real shot in the middle of the field. Both of which suck.
