Detroit Pistons & NBA Talk

I just can’t take guys who talk to the reds ever possession

It’s why I loathe Doncic

Jokic pretty different than the guys I really hate when it comes to that stuff IMO.

Luka is the king. Bron pretty annoying. Jokic was just correct.

Surprised Kevin Harlan didn’t stroke out.

To each their own but being correct starts to wear thin when to complain on basically every possession as you blow a 20 point lead

It’s not, I guess, what you want to see when everything is going to h*ll

Modeled behavior, etc

At some point you have to deal with the situation

From watching FIBA ball, there’s a particular brand of whining that I think is unique to euros. If you’re a soccer fan, it’s the exact same type of complaining. Incredulous, dramatic and very frequent. Seems kind of cultural.

I’ll admit Tatum is really bad about it, in terms of guys who aren’t European but just cry a lot.

I dk, I wasn’t watching that close but that isn’t my impression of what happened. He seemed to do it with greater intensity as the leverage of the missed calls increased which is apropos.

Maybe Nate will see it your way, I dk.

Yes Tatum is abhorrent as well

Shockingly I think all these guys lose sight of the game when doing this stuff

Curry is just so fun to watch. Almost makes up for having to watch Draymond play.

I knew McCarthyism would come to the boards…I just didn’t think it would come so soon

If you’re starved for video breakdowns, I’ve been enjoying these for the Pistons-Knicks series:

Still no Beef Stew for today’s game. We’ll need Cade to have his best game of the series and Tobias to be back in Game 1 & 2 form (plus, no foul trouble).

It’s not technically an elimination game but a loss today basically seals the series

Most important game of the entire season today and throughout the first quarter, the Pistons were out-hustled, out-played, out-muscled and beaten up on pretty soundly.

Good composure from Cade there to keep Holland in control

Think this series really flipped once Thibs turn NYK’s O into something other than Brunson isos every time down. Brunson by himself isn’t enough to beat the Pistons but NYK does actually have a ton of O talent.

The other thing is OG on Cade. Every possession they run for Cade where OG guards him feels like a loss rn and they’re not doing enough to avoid them.

Not a Cade thing

But the Pistons have basically one guy that stresses a defense, maybe two in Beasley

They just badly need to upgrade Harris and Hardaway to take the next step

Ivey could be another guy to stress defenses but alas

As constituted they need to just squash the Knicks offense in totality and it’s hard to do that 4 times

It’s sort of hard because the Knicks to my eye don’t really switch with Brunson (they do with basically anyone else), so no matter what they can’t really hunt a BAD defender

lol that’s the sort of Brunson nonsense you can’t call

(Him just getting in front of Thompson way off ball and falling over)

This reffing really stinks

I don’t think either side is deriving an advantage but like I have no idea what constitutes a foul at this rate and I don’t think the players do either

We are whistling touches and ignoring assaults
