Detroit Pistons & NBA Talk

Also not noted in this tweet is Tim Duncan’s son and Bruce Bowen’s son are on the team.

If Tom Gores wasn’t a horrible owner and Sparty, I’d feel bad for him losing all that money to Monty.

I’m already on the Hopium train, but I brought a league pass for the Pistons lol

Oh man, dude

I live in Florida and buy League Pass every year to watch them. I usually regret the purchase no more than 5 games into the season.

The Celtics are 24/40 from 3 with 5 minutes left in the 3RD quarter.

Let the Bronny era begin.

You’ve got about 21 hours to get in on this!

A 100% fully functional AD is still a fearsome thing. Savor it now, because who knows how many more games this year we get it. Probably the one guy that if I had to choose a team to play 1 game would be in my starting 5 but if I had to choose a team to play a season I may not choose.

Minnesota seemed so intent to run offense through Randle that I’m not sure what Conley is even for at this point. The Randle stuff was good, don’t get me wrong, they mostly lost because they missed threes (this team!? No way!), but still sort of distressing how many possessions came down to “let Ant cook” - I thought the point of getting Randle was to get a second way of generating looks outside of the PG.

Didn’t watch but my Wolves fan buddy was apoplectic. Get the feeling everybody is going to hate that trade.

The trade killed the spacing but it was 100% to get below the 2nd apron cap space IMO.

Again, I think the Randle stuff is interesting and gets a limited offense another way to score that KAT really doesn’t. I know “the spacing” but Randle is a positionally solid shooter (he’s obviously not KAT)

But if Conley is goi g to bring the ball up and then stand there I don’t get it

I think they just haven’t figured it out yet

Just in time for the regular season!

Yeah really I dk. The wide view mechanics of it working make a basic sense to me. You split KAT’s value into 2 different good players with better contract situations and now you’re deeper and better hedged against Conley falling off. That’s basically how Nate and Danny saw it. Partnow saw it as them figuring out how to get off the money, so clearly in DARKO he trusts not.

The specifics of how it turns into a better finishing 5? Much less obvious to me.

I had a similar take. You weren’t getting full value of KAT’s skillset when you put him next to Gobert. So you can just use Randle and Naz Reid to fill the stretch four role and get Donte to fill a need on the wing.

:open_mouth: :eyes:

The guy with a super long history of getting hurt who decided not to do load management this past season and then got hurt and then was not at 100% in the playoffs or the Olympics?

That’s the guy the NBA is going after?

Ben Simmons went like 3 straight years not playing and “load managing”, but its fine since he sucks I guess lol
