Yeah, I’m pretty thrilled with his start too. What’s really nice is I think he’s still feeling his way.
Wembs is surplus to requirement when you have Beef Stew. (J/k) We need Scoot. (N/j/k)
First number is Ivey’s shot distribution (“rim” is 0-3 feet, “floater” is 4-9), second number his FG% on that shot.
39.3% at the rim (71.4% fg%)
16.9% floater range (26.7%)
9% 10-15 feet (25%)
2.2% 15 feet-the arc (0%)
32.6% threes (34.5%)
Ivey’s shooting splits? Basically 89% driving to the rim (layups/floaters) or threes. Similar to what he was at Purdue.
Yeah, first number is % of shots at each range, number in parentheses is his accuracy on those shots.
Definitely a very modern dispersal of shots, encouraging to see him exceling at what his primary skill was billed as (getting to the rim and finishing (though probably won’t keep finishing like Giannis)).
If Ivey can improve his floater and 10-15 feet range, he’d be lethal.
We won’t talk about the Pistons game last night.
That was what was expected Monday.
With Duren and Bagley out, they just didn’t have enough size to deal with Giannis and Brook Lopez. Lopez is such a large human being.

Killian has lost any semblance of confidence that he ever had. It’s sad to watch.
My theory is that his hip injuries are more of a serious, long-term thing. Whenever he shoots or tries to finish in the lane, it looks awkward, like his body is compensating for something.
Beef Stew has 10 3pt FG made while Killian has 9 FG made this season. That’s baaaaaad.
Not to be too cynical but at what point in his career did his shot and finishing not look awkward
His shot was jacked up from the start and he’s only been able to go one way on drives
Thought I read that there were concerns about his hips even before he got hurt in his rookie year. During the draft process.
You are correct that he had a serious hip injury as a rookie, however, if you read any pre-draft scout of him, they will cite a poor jumper, an inability to dribble, finish, or pass with his right hand.
And he still hasn’t improved on any of the weaknesses. It’s crazy!
This season is the first season that the Piston fans finally realized that he’s not good. I gave up on him last season because I knew he wasn’t it but got gaslighted by the fans that he needs time and is coming off from an injury.
Well my friend you can scroll up to find a year of me and @kherodan32 shrieking that he stinks
was he a huge reach in the draft, or did he go in the range he expected? if it’s the second one, did anyone have concerns about a PG not being able to shoot, dribble, or finish, or pass with his off hand?
