Either way, it’s been a messy situation by the Suns management. They have a lot of work to smooth things over with Ayton.
When the Sarver report drops they can just blame it on him. Don’t think its gonna hurt them
Pacers got saved
They have a better center than Ayton on the roster.
I dunno. Seems they just gave Ayton 133 million reasons why they appreciate him. His problem if he is offended by that.
Sorry this hate has gone too far lol
Yeah I don’t think Ayton is the first big man to show some hint he can be kind of an unmanageable weirdo. And the dude has done some very positive work at this point in his career. He’s got a long runway, still.
They could’ve just extended his contract and not have to deal with this drama.
He pretty much summed up my thoughts on the Suns/Ayton situation. Yeah, Ayton got the bag but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t resent what transpired from the Suns side. https://twitter.com/DragonflyJonez/status/1547779757437120513
Don’t know. Turner is a top tier defender and a little easier to fit around offensively, though not as good individually. Most advanced metrics have them pretty close. I’d definitely rather have Turner at his number than Ayton at the max.
The extra money saved on Ayton will really allow the Indiana Pacers to contend through Free Agency.
He’s in his last year im sure his next contract will be larger than this one.
Thanks for the context. I hadn’t tracked it that closely.
Who should the Pistons take at 4?
Youssef Khayat
I’m hammering the over for the Pistons.
They’re right, we don’t need to rush anything and we are very close to competing but we need just one more year of getting lucky in the draft from being a genuine title contender.
Windhorst has become one of the better insider analyst. LBJ got him with the foot in the door and Windhorst is coming through with quality analysis and insider without being too obvious.
I do agree with what they’re saying in their podcast about the Pistons. They’ll be exciting but I do think if things goes right, play-in might be possible.
Difference between insider and analyst. He has had some good scoops as an insider, but I would place no value on his analysis of basketball.
