David DeJulius to enter transfer portal

Alright, now things make no sense to me. Why did Dave transfer?

Because Michigan was told that Josh was coming.

Or he wanted to leave.

Well yeah, of course that’s why. I think we all realize that. smh.

What I am saying is that DeJulius’ decision and Christopher’s are very well unrelated - even Dylan says so.

I realize sour grapes will blame Josh for David but that’s not it.

If they are unrelated, I didn’t realize it until now. Dylan referred to speculation about a Dave transfer, but I don’t remember anything like that; perhaps insider whispers, but we know that those aren’t always accurate. :slightly_smiling_face: In any case, it just made perfect sense to me that a Christopher commit would spur a Dave transfer. But, I also realize that 2+2=4 doesn’t always play out in college hoops. Bottom line for me is that it really hurts that we lost Dave and didn’t get Christopher.

Nah, I think they’re related.

If JC does not come, Eli is your starting two guard, DDJ at the point, and Zeb the third guard, Smith likely a backup too.

But with Josh in the fold, I think DDJ was not confident he could beat out Brooks, or Zeb next year.

Yeah, I don’t see how the two can’t be related when our starting backcourt is about to be Eli and the guy who just replaced Dave.

I feel like this is a concrete example of correlation not meaning causation.

I think the use of the word unrelated was incorrect but I think @mgl’s point overall stands.

So I saw people on twitter saying DDJ wasn’t listed in the transfer portal any more and looked in at 247 and that’s true. Now I’m almost 100% sure that’s a 247 error but can anyone who knows more about the actual portal confirm this?

Someone on mgoblog who claims their job gives them access to the NCAA portal says DeJulius is still listed as active in the real portal. Grain of salt of course, but that does seem like the most likely outcome here.

Some were saying that he never actually popped up on the 247 list to begin with, seems like an oversight.

DeJulius announcing tomorrow at Noon.

Final 4 remains the same (Cincy, Iowa State, Marquette, Mizzou).

Returning to Michigan is not an option.

It’s Cincy

Inside info, educated guess or wild guess?

I don’t know why he would prefer any of those schools vs Michigan. He has good playing opportunities at Michigan now with no JC, a better academic school, and friends that were his teammates. He must not like JH very much.

Both 1 and 2

His circle never wanted him at Michigan to begin with. He almost transferred last year. It has nothing to do with Juwan.

What’s his circle like? They don’t like U of M? It’s academics or its sports? Parents’ circle, friends’ circle, coach circle?

Marquette got their sit out transfer. From what I’ve been told it seems like Cincinatti is gaining steam with DD. Missouri is going to likely whiff again.
