You know Izzo, shots count when you bank them, too.
TSU let’s go! Represent for Houston! (but hopefully Houston takes the L tomorrow)
You must be a Jay Bilas fan
MSU will win this because I think they’ll be able to get more stops than Bucknell. Only way Bison win this is if they don’t turn it over and hit some threes. They can’t compete with MSU inside.
Absolutely agree!
It is odd. It’s like he’s concerned about keeping them all happy.
I noticed that, he had several full blown temper tantrums. Weird considering that the officiating was bad, but at least relatively bad for both teams.
It’s like he’s a Freshman or JV coach who is getting heat because some kids “aren’t getting enough playing time.” I’ve personally always believed you need eight solid players to win, 3 guards, 3 wings, and 2 posts. The other kids, frankly, are role players, albeit an important role, and must be taught to accept and embrace that role.
I think you play whatever gives you the best advantage possible. If you’ve only got 6 capable players, that’s who you play. If you’ve got 10 - play them. But if you’re 9th player is taking minutes away from better first and second string players, you are doing it wrong. But players like Goins and Carter are not better than any of the other four post players for MSU. Playing them does nothing but hurt MSU.
Nana Fallon having such a bad game he even managed to foul out his best player.
Excuse me, Foulland
Bucknell lost their chance in this game by continuing to go to Foulland. He was obviously losing it mentally when he wasn’t getting calls and he isn’t efficient going against stronger players. He’s 3-11 from the field.
Also, Thomas must have said something god awful to get that tech. If not, terrible call. To end a kid’s career to boot.
And then the refs come back with a makeup call
Best I’ve ever seen Bridges play
Pretty sure all Thomas said was “What are you watching?” at least from my lip reading skills and the announcer seemed to agree.
Well, we see the benefit of getting a de facto home game.
Obviously if you only have six players (who can play) that’s who you play, although you might have to steal a few minutes with lesser players. You will VERY seldom have ten players who are equal (actually never), but if you do…I guess you better figure it out and find minutes for all of them, but that’s strictly the coach’s decision to make, not yours and mine unless we’re on the staff. I personally believe Coach Izzo plays too many players, but guess what, he’s in the Hall of Fame and I’m not, so it doesn’t really matter what I think.
MSU flourishes against teams that can’t fight back.
Bridges was a killer tonight. Instant 7-0 run for the 2 minutes Izzo had him at the 4.
tough guys when things are going their way. Too bad this game wasn’t in Wichita, where the crowd would have been completely in bucknell’s favor.
Good teams win, great teams cover. One didn’t happen
This game was too physical? Izzo is such a complete Richard.
