College Basketball Open Discussion

He lied after Brooks made the comments, IIRC. The weak backtrack wasn’t until after video/audio evidence of the exchange surfaced…

Whoops, got my timelines on that mixed up. Thanks for the clarification.

Was looking at Kenpom and realized Memphis is at 60, it also appears that penny can’t coach offense at all.

They’re also not as talented as preseason rankings had them, especially without Wiseman. Take out Wiseman and their recruiting class is basically what Michigan has right now for 2020. Really good, not good enough to ride exclusively to a good team

I feel like coaching offense is hard when you rely on so many freshmen and the best freshmen you have don’t play in the backcourt.

Also doesn’t help that Boogie Ellis was supposed to be a star after he decommitted from Duke but he’s shooting 29% from the floor and is barely playable.

Dang, you’re not kidding. They’re 181st in AdjO!

What an idiot.

I’m not aware of this situation, what occurred? What was the lecture about and when?

Washington is 11-17 from 3. But only up 7 at home against Arizona.

Anybody watching my adopted back up squad for the season , Washington vs Arizona?
6-7 first rounders balling right now. Sloppy and the defense is meh but very entertaining. McDaniels has to be the most frustrating player in America.

McDaniels to me is a pretty good example of what we are signing ourselves up for with some (not all but some) of these one and dones. Take Todd for example. He could be legendary in his one year here (assuming he comes) or could be just as frustrating as McDaniels if he doesn’t piece it together in his one year.

It makes sense and does away with all of the waiver nonsense.

Not a fan at all

Gotta recruit your recruits
Gotta recruit your commits
Gotta recruit other teams’ redshirts

and coming soon
Gotta recruit your own players

Most all sports already allow it. All actual students are allowed to do it. And players are already transferring in droves.

Yup. If anything, it just removes the incentive for players to come up with mostly nonsensical reasons for their hardship waiver appeals and evens the playing field. NCAA has been extremely inconsistent in how they have given out waivers.

That’s already the case for most of the roster.
