Huh…didn’t even know that was something you could do. I am happy for him if he was able to get some help with what he was going thru and remain eligible.

This has to be one of the worst bubbles of all time, right? It’s crazy seeing literally every bubble team just losing constantly. NO ONE (except MSU) is doing even halfway decent on the bubble.

was just thinking the same in the wake of Boise’s loss. I wonder if MSU would have still gotten in even at 14-13.

There’s also one extra spot on the bubble.

They probably do. Boise and Cuse gonna keep MSU out? Nah

“My wife will be happy for a minute.” Oof.

Looking like a dig at Christopher.

Hurley should have seen the red flags when he found out that Christopher wanted to play at ASU.

Funny what a year can change.

Easier to blame the player than yourself for being an awful coach

Agree, ASU was preseason #23 on Kenpom. They completely stink. You can’t attribute all of that to JC

If he played for a program that was any good, he would probably have a lot of frustrating moments, but would have actually played for a team with some structure. Hurley’s teams play some truly dreadful basketball.

Yeah I mean I’m sure JC was possibly an issue at times although he provided no specifics. But if you have these 2 great senior leaders you’re espousing but one freshman came in and ruined it? Seems like a lot of that responsibility should rest on the coach

Watching this Texas Tech - Texas game, and am impressed with all the length, athleticism and depth on display by both teams. It certainly contributes to the high pace of play & poor shot selection, but it’s a stark contrast to B1G basketball. Not sure how Baylor/WVU/OK State compare, but all that depth is really helpful for deep tourney runs.

I watched the UNC-VT game and wondered how UNC struggled so much during the year with a bunch of giants that can all rotate for each other.

Nobody outside of Kerwin Walton can shoot, and they play two centers at a time. Their PG’s statline looks like this:

Love is literally one of the worst offensive starters possible. The amount of usage they allow him to have while being so bad is preposterous. UNC basically plays volleyball.

He puts up some of the most impressively awful statlines I’ve seen. Today’s - 2 of 12 shooting (+2 FTs) for 7 points, 2 TOs, 0 assists. How do you let him shoot so much??

Because a missed shot is a great possession for UNC. They rebound almost half their misses.
