To what extent does Michigan control the ref choice? One of yesterday’s officials worked Mohegan Sun – Carstensen, I think? Michigan pulled out of that tournament only to have a guy on its home court who was there the whole time. Can’t be what they’d have wanted in that sense.

I just saw that Gonzaga is going to miss 4 games because of 1 positive player test and 1 staff positive.
If that is how each team will handle a couple positives I don’t see many teams playing more than 20 games.
Gonzaga actually played through positive tests to get to this point.
They had personnel left in Florida that were quarantined and personnel left in Indianapolis that were quarantined. They would have played Baylor is sounds like but local health officials said no.
Zags also aren’t going to miss many notable games and could be back in time for Iowa, so the timing makes sense.
The bigger issue is that every school and conference handles things differently so programs shut down for different reasons.
Big Ten schools don’t have to shut down with a positive because of daily testing, for example, but I believe there’s still a 21-day period of quarantine/testing/not being able to play for any player who tests positive.

It’s not a 21 day quarantine. it has to do with heart testing. I believe after maybe 14 days they can start practicing
DeJulius has 10 assists and 0 turnovers in 2 games. Averaging 32 MPG, 12 PPG, 5.5 RPG, 5APG.
Castleton started all 3 games for Florida, but sixth in scoring.
Bajema averaging 11MPG and hasn’t really contributed on the court. Washington’s PG, UK transfer Quade Green, has 10 assists and 10 turnovers.

Correct. Should have stated that more clearly. They can’t play for 21 days as they undergo testing.

Yea I tracked Beverly and Miami a lot last year. He never put it all together last season. Haven’t tuned in to them yet but good reminder.
