According to Zion Williamson’s marketing agent Zion’s parents were given money and gifts from Nike and Adidas reps plus Duke boosters to go to Duke but Zion won’t own up to it. What a surprise ehh?
I’m shocked that the sky is blue. Coach K has only been getting away with this stuff for 20+ years.
Zion’s former marketing agent files lawsuit, says he was paid to attend Duke
This lawsuit is nonsense though - just an ill will shot at making the kid look bad (nobody will care).
That might be, but that doesn’t change how much I loathe Duke and Coach K. I simply want to see him retire in disgraced fashion. He’s Rick Pitino dressed in a better package.
What do you mean?
This woman is bitter that Zion fired her as his agent (because she’s not approved by the NBA) so she’s trying to incite the amateur-fetishists against him.
Agreed here - K can burn.
Yeah, I think she’s got a real problem if she’s not certified and I don’t think the discovery she’s seeking has anything to do with the claims in the case (at least, as I understand them having never seen the complaint), so it seems like an attempt to publicly embarrass him more than anything else. And there’s no reason to publicly disclose the discovery you’re seeking unless that’s the underlying motive.
Was about to post this myself. Sotto isn’t ranked in the top 50. A bit of an eyebrow raiser compared to what they said about only going for truly elite prospects.
Sotto is a big wild card from my understanding though. Very raw and under scouted. Kind of a unique situation with potential large upside for the G-League program. Also, betting that they want a few more high school guys on the team and because the push was made so late that they are willing to take some less elite guys
I think this shows the 2nd of two main purposes of this team - first, to provide exposure and training and better scouting for domestic prospects, and second to steer international prospects out of multi-year contracts the NBA would need to buy out.
He’s been looking to play professionally all along it appears. Wanted to play in Europe this year…
They listened to my complaining! I spent years bitching that it was actually only two factors.
There was definitely a lot of overlap of factors but it was hard to know what weight they had in the final rating.
This is literally what I’ve been saying to do for years! My only real problem with RPI is that it didn’t properly account for two scenarios:
- How hard it is to win a game versus the 175th ranked team versus the 350th ranked team.
- How hard it is to have a low-loss record (1-4) versus a mediocre schedule.
Using a wins above bubble approach should help with that. if they’re doing that, I wish they’d completely remove the net effeciency part.
As many of you know, I like to post basketball videos on my Twitter account. Since we have extended down time without basketball (and other sports), I was thinking of starting a series to explain different basketball concepts – kind of a “how to watch basketball.” Such topics could include: top-locking, drop P&R coverage, short roll, scram/kickout switch, just to name a few.
Would this type of thing be of any interest?
(If this in inappropriate Dylan, feel free to delete)
In criminal environments, the whistleblower is usually not the most upstanding citizen. But that is also commonly the person who is a witness. Doesn’t matter if her motivation is bad if she has the goods. I’ll wait and watch.
