Not only has Dawn Staley turned into a great college woman’s basketball coach, but is also one of the best ever as a player. Cred at every level.
Who could you compare on the men’s side to the kind of success she’s had across all levels of her career? Larry Bird perhaps, who was obviously one of the best players to ever suit up, but also a very successful coach in the NBA.
(I’m sure there are others, but I’d have to think about who they would be.)
I have no doubt that if Dawn Staley had a desire to coach men’s college basketball, that she would likely be very successful as well. One impressive human being.
