Right. Miles texts Miller to bring Miles’s gun to where Miles was. Miller shows up, Miles and Davis hop in his backseat and Miller hands the gun to Miles who then gives it to Davis. At some point Jaden Bradley shows up and he and Miller block the exit path of the victim car with their own cars. Davis then goes on a shooting spree (which he apparently doesn’t remember because he was wasted), supposedly in self defense, despite firing the first shots.
It’s insanity that Miller and Bradley have just been playing this entire time. Both from a “how could anyone who knew the details let that happen” standpoint and also a “both of them likely witnessed a murder they may or may not have played a role in, and a teammate taken away to jail, and then just resumed playing basketball days later” standpoint
So MSU shuts down campus for days to appropriately mourn and deal with the aftermath of some lunatic shooting several people. Alabama continues basketball as normal when some of their players are directly involved in murder and their coach essentially says “no big deal”. What the **** man.
I am not sure what the right way to handle this situation is, but this sure doesn’t feel like it. I can’t help but wonder how much impact on their decision making the fact that they’re having a historic season and these are good players factored in.
The story title says ‘why,’ but I don’t think it supplies the why! So you call up another guy who’s been accused of murder? Because he sort of got off? (Someone help me here!) And he advises you to pray. Bet he could have got that advice closer to home. This is a really stinky story.
