yeah, i keep thinking about what a huge advantage it is to be the big, in-state school in places where a lot of talent either played in HS or at least has family. illinois and texas are set up well in the portal era.

Itās more about the amount of Texas talent than being super hard to pull. Not all going to UT. And UT just hired Rodney Terry so I would slow down on some of the never statements.

Their portal hauls seem to be coach independent. I truly donāt think we could ever get the average level of transfer they get. Both based on proximity to talent and money to lure said talent
